The eight stations’ apps, on F-Droid too

Since 30 September 2026, each station’s app is also in the Radio App F-Droid repository. Listeners whose Android phone has no Google Play can install it and keep it up to date. The repository holds the file Google Play generated and signed, so an app installed from Google Play updates from F-Droid, and the other way round.

Who it is for: Android phones without Google Play

F-Droid is an app store for Android run by volunteers. It is for phones without Google Play, and listeners who prefer an independent source.

Installed from F-Droid on a phone without Google Play, the app works, except for notifications.

Installing the app from F-Droid

The listener installs F-Droid from f-droid.org. They then open the Radio App F-Droid repository page on their phone and tap « Installer avec F-Droid » (Install with F-Droid). Once the repository is added, they search for the station in F-Droid.

From then on, F-Droid offers each new version. An APK file downloaded on its own, without F-Droid, does not update itself.
